Redoing a terrazzo restoration in St. James City
Another company restored this 1973 terrazzo floor and the homeowner wasn't satisfied. We reground it, repatched the holes and polished it.
Finished August 12, 2026
This floor had already been restored once. Another company did the work, and the homeowner was dissatisfied with the results.
Four things bothered them: the clarity of the shine, the consistency of the finish, the look of the patchwork, and the appearance of trouble areas like the bathroom.
On inspection we determined that the floor likely just had a finish applied, with little or no prep work. The patches in the closet and the bathroom stood out from the terrazzo around them, and the bathroom floor was still yellowed between the toilet and the shower pan.
We reground the floor, repatched the holes and polished it. Our goal was to match or exceed what the customer had been looking for when they hired the first company, and we're proud of how this one came out. The shine is clear and even through the house, the patches blend into the floor, and the bathroom is as clean as every other room.
If your terrazzo has been restored and didn't come out the way you hoped, we'd be glad to take a look.
